The backing vocal band was "The Hummingbirds" made up of:
Beryl Payet, Herna Payet, Monette Dorby and Wendy Dorby and the musicians and singers stood for 3 hours on stage for two shows. That is stamina and dedication to Country Music.
To the right of the stage we had live horses and during Intermission kids and grown ups were allowed to come on stage and touch and be close to the horses. They were closely monitired by the Sheriffs. We had 8 Sheriffs in all for the shows. We had a mummy horse and a baby horse and the public loved them.
We had to take special safety measures to ensure that the horses did not bolt into the audience and cause harm and damage so we had to re-enforce the on-stage stables with metal plates and ropes but at the end of the day everything went well and the horses behaved very well.
People ask me how did we manage to get the horses to behave so well? The answer is the Trainer Johan Carstens, a briliant horseman and horse lover who takes very good care of the horses at Utegangar Stables in South Mahe in Seychelles where he cares for these horses and provides ride for the public to experience horse riding. He is an amazing man.
