Clip - Spider-Man Song Mashup
Title : Spider-Man Song Mashup (2:56)
Description : After a brief hiatus, I'm back, and this time it's with another medley.
Around the time I was creating the mashup between "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" and "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas", I also was listening to the Spider-Man theme song (specifically the version heard in the year 2000 Spider-Man video game for PlayStation and Nintendo 64, heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuGtmdFJg_s ) I noticed similarities with this melody and the melody of at least two other songs.
In order, they are:
1. The traditional Spider-Man theme song, based off of both the theme from the 1967 TV show and the 2000 video game. Written by Paul Francis Webster and Robert "Bob" Harris.
2. "Bowser in the Dark World (Super Mario 64)", or "Bowser's theme". Written in 1996 by Koji Kondo.
3. The theme from "Fantastic Mr. Fox", based simultaneously off of "Just Another Dead Rat (Behind a Chinese Restraunt)", the "Fantastic Mr. Fox" theme, and "Boggis Bunce and Bean". Written in 2009 by Alexandre Desplat for Wes Anderson's stop-motion animated film.
4. A repeat of the Spider-Man theme, this time based off of the theme song from "The Spectacular Spider-Man", an animated TV show that started in 2008.
There's also a version of this project with me singing along, but I doubt you want to hear that.
